Representative Stoddard’s bill, HB115 “Dangerous Weapon Custodian Liability,” was heard in the House Judiciary Committee today before a totally packed committee chamber and overflow.
Representative Stoddard provided the perceived merits of his bill, and the discussion was open to public comment, which were overwhelmingly in opposition of the bill.
Many Utahns gave excellent statements describing their aversion to Rep. Stoddard’s proposed legislation; the bill was voted down in Committee on a failed motion to pass with Favorable Recommendation.
